Specialty Courses

A-1 Scuba is currently offering the following specialty courses at the Denver Downtown Aquarium

Digital Underwater Photography

Digital has taken the underwater photography world by storm.

Get in on the action with the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer Specialty Course.

You can quickly and easily capture the underwater world with your camera and on your computer.

 Fish Identification

Have you ever asked yourself, “What the heck is that!?”

If so, this course will provide you with the basics, so the next time you’ll know the answer.

 Peak Performance Buoyancy

If you want to fine-tune your buoyancy and soar over reefs, extend bottom time by reducing air consumption and prolong the life of your dive equipment, the Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course is for you.

 Dry Suit Diver

Wanna stay warm and toasty on a dive? Would you like to see the spectacular and prolific aquatic life often found in cooler water climates? If so, you’ll need to stay warm and that means a dry suit. Yes! Unlike a wetsuit, a dry suit seals you off from the outside water and that keeps you warm! Even in surprisingly cold water.

 Coral Reef Conservation

The AWARE – Coral Reef Conservation Specialty course teaches divers, snorkelers and non-divers about the vital role of coral reefs in the marine environment. The course familiarizes participants with the current state of the world’s coral reefs and important marine animal populations, and includes information how they can help.

Aware Shark Conservation

Sharks are crucial to marine ecosystems. They maintain a balance in populations of prey species and keep the ocean healthy by removing ill or diseased animals. They are an important resource supporting local economies through fishing and as an attraction to dive tourists.
